Today was consumed with preparations for my thesis defense which will take place tomorrow morning. Relating to food— I know I ate during the day but it was nothing memorable there was no sitting down with a dish and eating from it and no shared meals until late in the evening. After a long day I gave into ordering food so that I could continue preparing without much distraction. Forrest and I ordered from ACRE TO-GO its a newish healthy fast food place on N. High Street. We have been a few times before so we knew what to expect. I ordered the Quinoa Tabouli, Forrest got the Thai Wrap, and we shared a cup of carrot soup. It was convenient and tasted good just what I needed this evening. I am so looking forward to life slowing down a little after tomorrow. Maybe it shouldn’t just be shared meals it should be slow meals?
