Windyn- Clintonville (Meal 13)

Windyn Hines

Happy March everyone!

I shared my lunch with Calvin.  It was a cold day and warm coconut soup with rice sounded great.

Citrus season in late winter is one of my favorite times of year.  The lemon you see in this picture is from my grandmother’s neighbor’s tree in Arizona.  The recipe for this soup called for lime, but the limes in the store looked so sad.  While different than lime, the lemon complimented the soup well because of its fresh taste.  Unlike most lemons, it was more sweet than sour.  Thanks grandma!

  1. Windyn, we have the same stove top! Are you good at using the gas stove? This is my first gas stove and I am struggling. (Hence why Forrest usually makes to food). I cant even manage a good grilled cheese….. Patience is a virtue I don’t have enough of.

Isn’t that the truth! I could do with more patience as well. 🙂 Maybe you can come over for a grilled cheese one of these days and we can try to work out the kinks of the gas stove. Don’t get too down on yourself, however. Landlords put in the cheapest appliances they can find, thus usually the flame on these beasts are difficult to turn low.
